Dress Code

The Dance Gallery believes that proper dance attire is essential in dance training.  Leotards and tights allow a dancer to move easily and safely throughout class.  Hair should be pulled neatly off of the face.  Please wear the appropriate color assigned to your class.  If a students violates dress code three times, the family will be charged for clothing provided by The Dance Gallery.

Ballet 
All ballet students are required to have their hair pulled back neatly in a bun, twist or ponytail.  Ballet skirts, leg warmers and ballet sweaters may be worn.  Students must have proper ballet shoes.

Pre-Ballet, Ballet I, Ballet II- Pink Leotard, Pink Tights

Ballet III-Powder Blue Leotard, Pink Tights

Ballet IV&V-Black Leotard, Pink Tights
 
Jazz, Modern, Tap
All classes must wear black leotards/tank tops.  Black leggings, dance pants or tights may be worn.  Black shorts may be worn only if black or tan tights are underneath.  Proper shoe attire is required.  No shoes are worn in modern.

Musical Theater
Students may wear a black leotard of their choice along with black leggings, dance pants or tights.  Black shorts may be worn only in black or tan tights are underneath.  Jazz shoes are recommended, ballet shoes may be worn.  (No street shoes).
